The Department of Premier and Cabinet (DPC) and Victorian Public Sector Commission are the key advisers to government on executive employment and remuneration matters.

VPSC provides advice on public sector executive remuneration and publishes resources to support public service executive employment and remuneration.  DPC provides advice on public service executive employment and remuneration.

Victorian Public Service (VPS) Executive Officers are employed under Part 3 of the Public Administration Act 2004.

Public sector executives are employed by public entities and are subject to Government Sector Executive Remuneration Panel (GSERP) oversight.

VPSC is working with the Government, our public service and the broader public sector to deliver reforms to Victoria's executive officer employment and remuneration framework.
