The Victorian Public Sector Commission and Department of Premier and Cabinet act as key advisers to government on employment and remuneration matters for executives in the Public Service and sector.

Victorian executives form the key leadership and management group of the Victorian Public Service and sector.

The VPSC’s role is to:

  • provide advice on Executive employment and remuneration
  • maintain the Public Service Executive Data Collection
  • Maintain the Public Sector Executive Government Sector Executive Remuneration Panel (GSERP) Data collection

2014 Executive Remuneration Increase

The Premier has approved an annual adjustment to executive remuneration of 2.5 per cent effective from 1 July 2014. This applies to the Victorian public service and public entities in the broader public sector.
