Our case studies demonstrate that while workplace bullying can come in many different forms, there are a number of common approaches that have been successfully employed to help turn the tide on bullying in the workplace and improve workplace cultures.
As part of our strategic agenda to tackle workplace bullying, the VPSC conducted case studies with five public sector organisations that have experienced a significant reduction in employee perceptions of workplace bullying during the last 5 years, based on results from the People Matter Survey. This included interviewing both senior leaders and employees within the organisation to better understand:
- the reasons for high rates of employee perceptions of bullying in the past; and
- the actions that led to a reduction in workplace bullying.
