On 28 March 2015 the Government committed that no less than 50% of all future appointments to paid Government boards and Victorian courts will be women. So where are we now? Almost 2 years later (as at 31 January 2017):

  • 51% of new appointments to paid boards have been women
  • Paid government boards are at gender parity, with 50% of board positions held by women
  • Continuous improvement from 2015, when only 38% of board positions were filled by women
