Our employment programs create pathways for Aboriginal university and vocational students into the Victorian public service. We also offer career development and support to current employees.
Am I eligible?
To apply for one of our Aboriginal employment or career support programs you must:
- be of Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent
- identify as an Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and
- be accepted as such in the community in which you live, or have lived.

The Aboriginal Vocational Education and Training (VET) Graduate Program is a new entry-level program designed to connect Aboriginal VET graduates with careers in the Victorian public sector.
Our Cadetship Program supports the education and provides work experience to 2nd and 3rd year Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students who are undertaking their first undergraduate degree.
The Aboriginal Career Development Program provides tailored career development and support to eligible Aboriginal employees in the Victorian Public Service.
