The Barring Djinang Leadership Program is an exciting initiative that supports the development of Aboriginal leadership across the public and Aboriginal community sectors.
The program is designed to build leadership skills and support Aboriginal employees to take on leadership roles and progress their careers. It provides an individual leadership style profile and development activities that are based around a set of Aboriginal leadership attributes. The activities are tailored and designed to meet individual needs.
The program runs for six months and is open to Aboriginal staff at VPS 5 and 6 levels (or equivalent) with strong leadership potential. It includes:
- Leadership coaching in both one-on-one and group settings
- A tailored leadership development plan;
- A 2-day leadership residential providing a combination of learning and development, coaching and mentoring activities.
Participants will also have the opportunity to connect, share experiences, and learn from high-profile Aboriginal leaders in a culturally safe environment.
There are no financial costs to participants or their organisations for participating in the Program.
