On 8 February 2018, the state government released Every opportunity – Victorian economic participation plan for people with disability 2018-2020, backed by $2.6 million funding.
The plan outlines 21 actions to improve the work, study and business opportunities for Victorians with disability and to maximise the benefits of the National Disability Insurance Scheme. Enhancing flexible and sustainable employment for people with disability is a key priority.
Every opportunity sets a 6 per cent target for the employment of people with disability across all Victorian government departments by 2020. VPSC is leading work on this commitment.

“The Victorian Public Sector Commission is proud to be leading the development of the Disability Employment Action Plan. The Action Plan supports an ambitious disability employment target across all Victorian government departments of 6 per cent by 2020, increasing to 12 per cent by 2025. Collective achievement will provide more opportunities for people with disability. It’s important that our workforce reflects all abilities of the Victorian community.”
