Positive views of respondents show:

  • 84% feel that their direct manager demonstrates leadership and fosters an environment for engagement
  • 75% feel supported by their direct manager
  • 63% feel supported by senior leaders in their organisation and feel they communicate well.

Great managers can act as role models for an organisation’s strategy and values.

Manager support

Supportive managers can give employees clarity, appreciation, positive feedback and coaching.

This can lead to higher satisfaction, performance and capacity to do work.

Supportive senior leaders who communicate well mean employees may feel more connected to their work and organisation.
