ORDER ESTABLISHING AND RENAMING DEPARTMENTS

Order in Council

The Governor in Council by Order made under section 10 of the Public Administration Act 2004:

  • establishes the Department of Government Services;
  • changes the name of the Department of Transport to the Department of Transport and Planning;
  • changes the name of the Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions to the Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions;
  • changes the name of the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning to the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action; and
  • changes the name of the Department of Education and Training to the Department of Education.

This Order comes into effect on 1 January 2023.
