Our reporting obligations

One of our functions in the Public Administration Act 2004 is to collect and report on public sector workforce data.

To do this, we:

  • run annual data collections
  • run the People matter survey, an employee feedback survey
  • report on data that we collect
  • release case studies about trends or insights into the Victorian public sector workforce

How we collect data

  • Workforce data collection

    The annual collection of employee data from all public sector organisations and the Victorian Public Service (VPS).

  • People matter survey

    The survey is the Victorian public sector’s independent employee opinion survey.

  • Victorian Public Service executives data collection

    For executives employed under Part 3 of the Public Administration Act 2004.

  • Public entity executive remuneration survey

    Monitor and report on executive employment, remuneration and compliance with government executive employment policy.
