We ask all VPS employers to report on the number of employees who received progression or bonus payments.

We use this data to monitor how progression is being applied across the VPS and to understand the impact of any changes and trends on cost structures.

Data is collected for employees in the VPS classification structure and the adaptive classification structures in clause 27.1 of the VPS Enterprise Agreement 2020.  Data is not collected for executive level employees.

This year we’ve simplified the process for collecting progression data.

For 2023 we’ll be asking for the number of VPS employees:

  • at each VPS grade and any relevant occupational classifications
  • who received progression
  • who received a bonus payment instead of progression because they were at the top of their pay scale or value range.
