This presentation is relevant to the Code of Conduct for Victorian Public Sector Employees and with minor modification to the Code of Conduct for Victorian Public Sector Employees of Special Bodies. Both of these codes were issued under s 61 of the Public Administration Act 2004.
Introduction
The Code of Conduct presentation guides the audience through each of the values and provides case studies for discussion. The presentation may be delivered to public sector staff with little modification.
Who should use the presentation
Presenters who are inducting new staff to a public sector organisation may wish to use the presentation.
Before delivering the presentation
The presentation contains speaking notes for each slide. For certain slides, the speaking notes invite the presenter to tailor the presentation to their audience by adding in relevant information about local policies, contacts and survey results.
Additional use of the presentation
Public sector organisations that already have educational materials to support the Code of Conduct may find the presentation useful as a quick guide to the code and values. The case studies may provide inspiration for the development of local case studies to be used in newsletters, refresher courses or on the intranet.
