The VPSC’s role is to provide:

  • guidance and advice on non-remuneration matters for executive classification.
  • facilitated training to support VPS employers to undertake work value assessments within their organisation.


The VPSC runs virtual training sessions to support employers to undertake work value assessments themselves.

The sessions introduce the work value assessment process, outline key elements of the Public Entity Executive Classification Framework (PEECF) and the Victorian Public Service Executive Classification Framework (VPSCF), and provide an overview of the methodology used to assess an executive position.

We recommend staff attend training before conducting a work value assessment.

The following training sessions for 2024 are now available:

  • Tuesday 16 April 2024, 10am to 12pm
  • Wednesday 22 May 2024, 10am to 12pm
  • Tuesday 18 June 2024, 10am to 12pm
